Cvent Announces New Center for Event Insights

Cvent today announced The Cvent Center for Event Insights, a new research and thought leadership arm. Great events have always been about people. Today, technology is reshaping how those people connect, plan, and create unforgettable experiences. The Cvent Center for Event Insights works uniquely at the intersection of events, hospitality and technology; unlocking research, best practices and ideas that move the industry forward.

As an early signal of the work the Center will deliver, Cvent previewed a few findings from a newly commissioned Forrester Consulting study1 on the event performance landscape.

  • AI makes the case for more live experiences. 70% say events matter more, not less, as AI floods every channel with synthetic content.

  • Audience expectations keep rising. 77% say audience expectations for personalization and ongoing engagement keep climbing.

  • The performance gap remains. Only 36% fully connect their event data, so most still can’t prove what it’s worth. Just 36% capture and integrate their event data across all their events, and 71% say managing events across disconnected tools leaves them with limited visibility into how their programs actually perform.

  • AI adoption has yet to prove real outcomes. 59% already use AI for event content, but only 37% say it is paying off.

  • Revenue is now the priority. Pipeline and revenue are now the most-cited priority leaders set for their events, and 41% increased event budgets last year.

“The events industry does not need more noise. It needs clearer proof of what drives performance,” said Amy Lucia, Chief Marketing Officer at Cvent. “The Cvent Center for Event Insights is being built to give event and hospitality leaders sharper perspective, stronger evidence and practical ideas they can use to make smarter decisions. We’re excited to bring this center to life at a time when live experiences carry more weight, and when the expectation to turn those moments into measurable business value is only growing.”

Today’s announcement marks the first step in a broader rollout that will deliver flagship research, ongoing commentary, and future benchmark-style insights intended to help the industry monitor trends and stay ahead of the curve.
